Oliver Newton Custer, 91, of Bunker Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born September 28, 1925 in Bunker Hill, WV he was the son of the late Millard Preston and Pauline Louise Bowers Custer.

He was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Jo Mish Custer; two sons, Michael N. Custer and wife Sharon of Bunker Hill; Philip D. Custer and wife Julia of Atlanta, GA; one daughter Ruth O. May and husband Wayne of Bunker Hill; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with Pastor Mike Staubs and Pastor Dennis Rhoe officiating at Brown Funeral Home at South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. Interment will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
