Obituary for Thomas Edward Shade

Thomas Edward Shade, 71, of Sulphur Springs Road, Inwood died June 12, 2017. Tom enjoyed his occupation as a self-employed mechanic who repaired farm machinery.

Born July 23, 1945 in Berkeley County, he was the son of Frances J. Williams Shade and the late Curtis Leo Shade. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann Robinson Shade; son Daniel and his fiance' Jill K. White Hartness and her sons John, Jacob, and Jeremy Hartness of Lexington Park, MD; and son Benjamin and his wife Jillian E. Hardee of Whitmore Lake, MI. Also surviving are brothers Carroll Shade and wife Mozelle, Glenville (Tadpole) Shade and wife Carolyn, and Kenneth (Poncho) Shade, sister Barbara and husband Larry Miller, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor Debbie Klahn and Pastor Vicki Drummond of In His Sign Deaf Ministry officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
