Linda J.  Albright
Linda J. (Jett) Albright, 72, departed this life on May 30, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born in Kanawha County, WV on May 21,1945, she was the oldest of five children born to Rev. Darrell E. Jett and Betty A. (Donohue) Jett.

Linda moved to Hedgesville in 1959 when her father became the minister at Hedgesville United Methodist Church. Since that time she was a dedicated member of the church congregation serving on several church committees in leadership roles and volunteering for countless events such as church bazaars, vacation bible school, Hedgesville Heritage Days, apple butter making and chocolate Easter egg making. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir, especially for Christmas Cantatas.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Hedgesville High School. She continued her support and involvement with Hedgesville High School by serving as a volunteer and officer of the Alumni Association for several years.

Linda also enjoyed her volunteer work with the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival, Berkeley County Youth Fair and Main Street Martinsburg.

Linda enjoyed a 32 year career with the Federal Government working as a Clerk for the Internal Revenue Service and later working as a Market Reporter for the United States Department of Agriculture.

Linda was a proud native of West Virginia and an avid West Virginia University Mountaineer fan. She loved sharing her enthusiasm for the Mountain State and the Mountaineers with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 54 years, Harry Franklin Albright; her three "independent" children, Jeffery D. Albright, Greggory S. Albright, and Alison Albright Cox; son-in-law, Christopher C. Cox; and four delightful grandchildren, Jordan L. Albright, Ryan M. Albright, Anna Grace Cox, and Chandler C. Cox. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Vinson and brother-in-law, Michael Vinson; brother-in-law, Dennis McCafferty; sister-in-law, Teresa Jett; brother-in-law, Kenneth Albright, brother-in-law, Cecil Albright; sister-in-law, Carolyn Albright; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her two sisters, Brenda K. Jett and Beverly "Becky" McCafferty; her brother, C. Edward Jett and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil Lee Albright and Grace Elizabeth Albright.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Hedgesville United Methodist Church, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Terri Cofiell and Rev. Dr. Dennis Jackman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

Tributes and/or gifts may be designated to Hedgesville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 201 S. Mary Street, Hedgesville, WV 25427 in Linda's name.
