Condolence: Dan and I became friends about 15 years ago in a most unconventional way; but nevertheless, we were great friends. He made me laugh, I made him laugh. He loved his family so very much; especially his beautiful granddaughters. He told me the hardest part about leaving was not seeing the girls grow up and graduate from high school or getting married. We shared stories about our lives and our families ... his life in Martinsburg, my life in Southern California. We shared our happiest times and our saddest. He loved his family and friends fiercely! I was driving up the coast to visit my best friend when he called me. I knew it would be our last conversation. Dear Arlene and your precious family, my heartfelt condolences for your tremendous loss. I will never forget your wonderful Dan. You do not know me, but I definitely know all of you. And my life has been enriched by having had Dan's friendship.

With much love and respect,
Sharon

Condolence: I am so sorry to read about the passing of your dear love one, I pray that your family will find comfort in the God of all comfort Jehovah. I too have suffered such loss and it is never easy to say goodbye to those we love, however I was able to find much hope in Gods word the bible. Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say:"I am sick" The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error. Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away... What a wonderful time it will be when no one will ever again get sick or die.

Condolence: Dan was a true inspiration to the entire Sylvan Grove cycling group. We even named a hill after him as he whooped us every time up it. Always willing to give an encouraging word. He will be missed by everyone he came in contact with.

Condolence: I started working with Danny in 1994. He was one of those rare individuals who was loved by all and brought a smile to the faces of everyone around him. He always brought humor and positivity to every situation, and was laughing more often than not. Arlene, Larry and I want you to know that we mean it when we say that we are here for you and your family.
