The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Johnson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Greater Fairfax M. B. Church

To Reverend/Sister Darryl and Sonya Gray and Family: The Pastor, Officers and Members of Greater Fairfax Missionary Baptist Church wish to express to you, and your family our deepest sympathy in the home going of your son-in-law, Robert Clarence Johnson, Jr. Those who mean the most to us are never really gone. For they remain in our thoughts and in our hearts and Robert’s memory will still lives on. May you find that passing time can somehow help to heal the sadness and sorrow that you feel right now. If there is anything you need during this difficult time, please do not hesitate to reach out to your church family for support. We are here for you, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Jesus said: "I am the light of the world. He that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.“ All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 Words alone cannot convey the deep understanding and heartfelt sympathy extended to you in your bereavement. May God bless each of you and give you strength and courage. Prayfully yours, Rev. (Dr.) Haymond Fortenberry, Pastor Sister Barbara Crawford, Church Secretary Greater Fairfax M.B. Church
