Obituary for Lawrence Eugene "Gene" Wilson

Lawrence "Gene" Eugene Wilson, 92, of Hedgesville, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born July 10, 1924 in Hedgesville, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence Powell Wilson and Geraldine Blanche Morrow Wilson.

He was a veteran of the US Army; and a member of New Hope Bible Church.

He is survived by one son, David Wilson of Bunker Hill; two daughters, Linda Brindle and husband, Wayne, and Brenda Zimmerman all of Martinsburg; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elwood Wilson of Inwood and Paul Douglas Wilson of Martinsburg; and one sister, Wilma Lee Riner of Bunker Hill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann DeHaven Wilson; one brother, Diehl Wilson; and three sisters, Delphine VanHorn, Enola Lentz, and Catherine Darlington.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16,2017 at 3:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel with Rev. Clyde Brooks officiating. Interment in Central Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the chapel.
