Obituary for Ethel Louise Wean (Wilt)

Ethel Louise Wean, 82 of Ranson passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the Shenandoah Center under the care of Hospice. Born September 26, 1934 in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late George William Wilt and Ruth Hannah Hostler Wilt. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Ethel worked for Reid’s Grocery Store in Charles Town, Century 21 Real Estate and later retired after over 15 years with the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home. She loved to do for her family and taking care of others needs.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Jean Walters White and husband Dave of Charles Town, one sister, Josephine Wilt of Ranson, two grandchildren, Shannon Kitchen and husband Matt of Seven Lakes, North Carolina and Shane White and wife Regina of Charles Town, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and good friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Nelson Wilt and George Melvin Wilt, two sisters, Alma Ruth Hilliard and Mary Anna Fleming. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers family request donations to be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W. North St., Charles Town, WV 25414 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
