Obituary for Anna Boyd Smith (Boyd)
Anna Boyd Smith, 91, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Bethany Assisted Living in Frederick, MD.
Born August 22, 1925 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Mack Ross and Bertha Boyd.
She was a 1944 graduate of Dunbar High School in Washington, DC.
She attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Vernon and Kenneth Smith; four grandchildren, Vernon Smith, Jr., Tonya Davis, Dana Riceel, and Tracy Davis; and three great-grandchildren, Latoya Buckner, Daje Long, and David Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Smith; two brothers, Bobby Boyd and Mack Ross Boyd, Jr.; and one sister, Wilhelmena Ware.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Hall officiating.
Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
