George Delmas  Leopold Jr.
George Delmas Leopold, Jr., 73, passed away at his home peacefully with his family by his side on April 23, 2017.

He was born August 14, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to George and Dorothy Leopold.

Born and raised in Baltimore as Baptist faith. Joined Baptist Methodist Church in 1960. Later moved his family to Martinsburg, WV in 1982.

George retired from Canton Railroad in 1980, then went on to work for Butt's Contracting and Caplinger Enterprises. When he finally retired he enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pearl Ann Leopold of 52 years of marriage, who he married April 13, 1965. George is also survived by five children, daughter, Tammy Snow and son-in-law, James Snow of Hedgesville, daughter Lynn Hansrote of Martinsburg, son-in-law, Todd Hansrote of Falling Waters, son, Brian Leopold and daughter-in-law, Lola Miller-Byers of Inwood, son, Kevin Leopold of Martinsburg, son Christopher Leopold and daughter-in-law, Paula Leopold of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Damian Ross of Hedgesville, Rhonda Hutzler of Martinsburg, and Kim White of Martinsburg; three great-grandchildren , Lizzy Snow of Hedgesville, Kaiden Windle of Kearneysville, Makia Jones of Martinsburg; one sister, Sally Newell of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Leopold; sister, Pearl Lindauer; and one brother, Benny Leopold.

He had a close dear friend, James Atha whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Family would like to give a special thanks to a family friend, Karen Gates and Hospice of the Panhandle; also to Winchester Medical Center; a special thank you to his hospice aid, Landa Gaither.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM prior to the service on Thursday.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
