Carolyn Michelle "Karen" Grantham, 59, of Martinsburg passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born July 2, 1957 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late William Coles and Christine Ellen Grantham.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Karen was a graduate of Martinsburg High School, loved sports (especially her grandson's games); and coached youth basketball.

She is survived by one son, Robert Bernarr Grantham of Gerrardstown; one daughter, LaSha Lyn Anderson of Martinsburg; one grandson, Nykeem Robert Thompson of Martinsburg; life-time partner, Vincent "Suckey" Williams; three brothers, John Johnson and wife, Mary Catherine of Martinsburg, Gary L. Coles and wife, Ruthie of FL, Steven L. Grantham and wife, Mary of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Anita M. Johnson of Hagerstown, MD, and Brenda Joyce Franklin of Martinsburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Darsie Grantham-Coles and Tamara Jean Barnett.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2107 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00AM at the South Berkeley Chapel with Rev. James Brown officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
