Elsie Virginia Kershner Wilburn, 94, of Martinsburg passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Charlottes Home in Boonsboro, MD.

Born March 20, 1923 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late Harry R. Kershner and Bertha K. Landis Kershner.

She was a member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church. She was a former member Bethany Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She also served as treasurer of the women's Sunday school.

She had worked at Interwoven Mills.

She is survived by her son, Richard Lynn Wilburn and wife, Debra, of Martinsburg; two daughters, Linda Darlene Gass and husband, Kelly, of West Fork, Arkansas, and Kathy Marie Price and husband, Jim, of Martinsburg; 14 grandchildren, Lesa, Jeremiah, Israel, Zackary, Brittney, Ashleigh and Cortney, all of Arkansas; Todd, Jody, Jennifer, Ethan, Aaron and Graham, all of West Virginia and Chanon of Maryland; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Teresa G. Parkinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Woodrow Wilburn on April 7, 2009; five brothers, Clarence L., John F., Edmund T., Henry R., and Francis A. Kershner; and two sisters, Mary Agnes Grove and Rosalee Lehew.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Jerry Mead officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Washington County Hospice or Pilgrim Presbyterian Church.
