Rose Marie Shaffer, 81, of Stephenson, VA passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Greenfield Assisted Living in Hagerstown, MD.

Born April 14, 1935 in Midway, PA she was the daughter of the late William and Beryl Kunkle Pyle.

She is survived by four sons, Richard Lee Shaffer (Cathy), David Michael Shaffer (Lynn), Douglas Robert Shaffer (Ruth), and Burt Allen Shaffer (Claudia); Rose also had 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and three sisters, Anna Mae Luther, Doris Cessna, and Sue Crothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee (Dick) Shaffer; two brothers, Jim Pyle, and William Pyle, Jr., and one sister, Jean Pyle Reed.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 3:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
