Obituary for Homer Clinton Spiker Jr.

Homer Clinton Spiker, Jr., 88, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born May 8, 1928 in Martinsburg, West Virginia he was the son of the late Homer Clinton Spiker, Sr. and Carney Stella Hinton Spiker.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Martin Marietta as Manager of the Data Processing Department .

Homer was a member of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Williamsport, the Masons, Red Men's Club, and the American Legion.

He was a 1971 graduate of the University of Baltimore having earned a BS degree in Business Management.

He is survived by one sister, Genevieve M. Brown of Martinsburg; a daughter, Cynthia L. Gagne and husband, Glenn of South China, ME; two grandchildren, Jessica Gagne and Jennifer Johnston; one great grandson, Ryder Michael Johnston; his family also includes stepson Michael Small and wife JoAnn of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Timothy and Gregory Small of Hagerstown, MD; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hunter , and Hannah Small, niece Lora Ann Crowell and nephew Jay Brown.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Rose Thompson Spiker.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home with Mark Sandell officiating. Military and Masonic graveside services will be held in Rosedale Cemetery.
