Phyllis Jean Lucas Merceruio, 83, of Marlowe, passed from this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Born February 12, 1934 in Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Lenora Mae (Kitchen) Lucas.

She is a graduate of Hedgesville High School.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Missy Steele (Scott) of Frederick, MD and Tracy Waite (John) of McVeytown, PA; three grandchildren, Joshua Aucoin, Jared and Kayla Steele; great-granddaughter, Ellie Aucoin; sister, Lois DeHaven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Vivian Lucas, Bobby Lucas, Jane Cole, Virginia Avey, Genevia Bowers, Elmer Junior Lucas and Deward Lucas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
