Obituary for Evelyn Trassie Schoppert (Hamilton)

Evelyn Trassie Hamilton Schoppert, 80, of Martinsburg went to her eternal home with her Lord and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

Born February 25, 1936 in Jefferson County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn Jacobs Hamilton Johnson.

She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God since 1967. She was a faithful servant to her church and a Sunday school teacher. Robert and Evelyn started and operated The Guitar Room music store at Berkeley Station for more than 49 years.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert C. Schoppert; four sons, R. Craig Schoppert and wife, Vicky of Martinsburg, Michael W. Schoppert and wife, Rita of Martinsburg, K. Scott Schoppert and wife, Kimberly of Falling Waters, and David W. Schoppert of Inwood; one daughter, Robin L. Gibbons of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren, Christian Gibbons, Bryan Gibbons, Jessica Schoppert Tyson, Michael Schoppert, Jr., Karah Ventura, Kayla Schoppert, and Derek Schoppert; twelve great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Douglas Johnson, Richard Johnson, and Stephen Johnson.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Hamilton, Sonny Hamilton, Harvey Johnson, Brooke Johnson, and one sister, Susan Butts.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 36 Laing Drive, Martinsburg, WV.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00AM with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.

Interment will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian Cemetery at Spring Mills.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
