Obituary for John Wayne Mason

John Wayne Mason, 80, of Slanesville, WV (formerly of Inwood) passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017.

Born September 30, 1936 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Earl and Mildred M. Slonaker Mason.

He was employed by Corning Glass Company until he retired after 31 years. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #120.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Mason and wife, Tara, Jay Mason, and wife, Barbara; one daughter, Tara Sue Mason; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth E. Mason and Douglas L. Mason; and one sister, Shirley A. Mann.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Trayer Mason; and a sister, Edna M. Wetzel.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017at 2:00PM at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 117 East Burke Street, Martinsburg, WV with Rev. Thomas Hartshorn officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service.

Interment will be private.
