Obituary for Alvin Lee Tabler

Alvin Lee Tabler, 79, of Falling Waters, WV, formerly of Tabler Station, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his residence.

Born December 22, 1937 in Tabler Station, he was the son of the late John Lee Tabler and Georgia Bell (Flintjer) Tabler.
Alvin was retired from Corning Glass Works. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church and the Panhandlers Square Dance Club.

He is survived by a son John Alvin Tabler of Wilmington, North Carolina and a daughter, Melonie Lynn Orr and husband Ronald of Falling Waters; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Ruble, Jackie Baran, Michaela L. Loja, and Karen Niji, 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, John D. Tabler and wife Sandra, of Glen Allen Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Custer and husband James of Inwood and Eva Jane Wightman and husband Dell of Martinsburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Maureen A. Niji.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home at 10:00AM with Deborah Barnett Pastor officiating.
