Obituary for August C. "Buddy" Trabert

August "Buddy" C. Trabert, 76, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born August 12, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Joseph August and Myrtle Frances McLaughlin Trabert.
He was a veteran of the US Navy; a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church; and was proud to serve the Lord with gospel music.
He is survived by his significant other, Micki Funkhouser; two sons, two daughters; six grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret L. Kelley; one niece, Karen Kelley; one nephew, Paul Kelley, Jr.; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and one great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Allene Small Trabert; son, Adam; and brother-in-law, Paul Kelley.
Celebration of Buddy's Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00AM at Winchester Avenue Christian Church with Rev. Ben Manning officiating. Burial at sea services will be conducted by the US Navy at a future date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Winchester Avenue Christian Church Elevator Fund, 400 Winchester Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25401 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
