Condolence From: Micah Adams
Condolence: Gilbert Foster was my stepfather. I love him very much, even though we have a long and rough history. He died December 7, 2016. His obituary states that he was married to my mother for 37 years. If you do the math, December 2016 - 37 years would have put their marriage in 1979 or 1980. That is not true. I am currently 40 years old. They have been together since 1979 or 1980. However, they did not get married until 1994. My mom Diane Adams was still married to my dad in 1979 or 1980, not Gilbert. My mom and dad got divorced around that time. I love all of my family. I just wanted to point out a minor error in the obituary.

Condolence: My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family . Losing ones we love is by far the most heartbreaking thing in life to bear. Two scriptures I find comfort in about the promise for the near future are John 5:28, 29, which promises that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will.. come out", followed by the beautiful time that Revelation 21:4 describes: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." A beautiful time our loved ones who are "sleeping" in death (John 11:11-13) will come back to life & to us right here on an earth of restored peace & health in the near future (Psalms 37:11,29), & we'll never have to worry about losing them again (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you'll find comfort in looking forward to the fulfillment of those promises as I do, & knowing that your loved one is not suffering but is at rest until you can see them again, healthy & happy, once again very soon, for all eternity.

Condolence: I grew up in Gerrardstown and I fondly remember Gilbert. One of my best friends was Steve Collis and I spent lots of time over at his house. We all attended local schools. I followed Gilbert on Facebook and know how very hard he fought to get well. It is always sad at times like these. I am sorry to hear this sad news. May God Bless his Family and Friends.
