Margaret C.  Tabler (Kendig)
Margaret C. Kendig Tabler, 92, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on December 4, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
Born August 10, 1924 in Nipetown, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Allen and Selina Anthony Kendig.
Before retiring, she was employed as a teacher at Berkeley County Schools. She taught at Stonewall School and was among the first group of teachers at the new Musselman High School.
She was a member of Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren; the AAUW; Delta Kappa Gamma; and the West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees. She attended Bedington United Methodist Church.
In 1941, she graduated from Martinsburg High School. Additionally, in 1945, she graduated with her BA degree from Shepherd College; and, by 1953, she graduated with her MA degree from West Virginia University.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Christian "Buck" Tabler, who passed away on June 16, 2004; one brother, John A. Kendig, Sr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend thanks to the exceptional caregivers from Home Helpers, Inc.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor W. Scott Summer and Pastor Walter Bowers officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bedington United Methodist Church, 580 Bedington Road, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
