Obituary for Shirley Joan Carter (Fuss)
Shirley Joan Carter, 79, of Hedgesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her residence.
Born November 15, 1936 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late George and Agnes Fuss.
She was a member of the Lifehouse of WV.
She retired from the Bavarian Inn and previously had worked as a seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Whitehair and husband, Keith, Sandra Magruder and husband, Scott; five grandchildren, Brad Whitehair, Marcia Lico, Krista Gooden, Katelyn Gooden, and Samantha Gooden; four great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Lico, Hartley Whitehair, Kensi Renner, and Easton Renner; two brothers, Paul Fuss and Robert Fuss; and three sisters, Carol Rankin, Margie Boswell, and Linda Fuss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carter; one daughter, Sharon Carter; two sisters, Donnie Courtney and Jean Lloyd; and one brother, Richard Fuss.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor J.D. Cardwell officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
