Obituary for John William Timmons

John William  Timmons
John William Timmons, 73, of Inwood, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Charleston Medical Center.
Born April 26, 1943 in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of the late Walter David and Daisy Bell Spitler Timmons.
He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by a son, John Thomas Timmons; two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Shafer and husband, Mickey, and Melissa Finkiner and husband, Jake; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two close nephews whom he raised, David Dale Timmons and Jeff Timmons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Geraldine Vandevender Timmons; two brothers, Charles Lester Timmons and David W. Timmons; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Marsh, Shelby Timmons, Peggy Lillian Wise, and Betty Allen.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 3:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Francis and Elder John Price officiating. Interment will be in Butler's Chapel Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00PM to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
