Nevin Owens Sigler, 98, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the VA Medical Center.
Born August 30, 1918 in Berkeley County, WV, he was the son of the late Robert B. Sigler and Sally Bowers Sigler.
He was employed as an electrical mechanic for Allegheny Power Company.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, he was a prison of war, and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
Nevin was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church and the Bedington United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge #37 of Hedgesville.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Junella Belle Sigler; one son, Nevin Wayne Sigler and wife Toni of Bedington; one daughter, Bonnie Smallwood and husband David of Falling Waters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert W. and Curtis Sigler.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 prior to the service at the Harmony United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, at the church with Rev. Terri Cofiell officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery with Military and Masonic graveside services.
