Obituary for Mary Ann Tharp (McDonald)
Mary Ann Tharp, 84, of Martinsburg departed this Earth on September 13, 2016.
Born July 3, 1932, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Theodore N. Tharp.
She is survived by her six children, Roger Tharp and wife, Trudy, Margie Hewitt and husband, Harry, Cindy Miller and husband, Steve, Timothy Tharp, Jeffry "Petey" Tharp, Missy Cobb and husband, Keith, brother Roger "Bill" McDonald and wife, Betty. She had five grandchildren, Carrie Tharp, Kevin Tharp, Chad Spitler, Amber Tharp, and Houston Cobb; six great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel McDonald, Lee McDonald, and step-mother, Ann McDonald; and brother, Wilbert Leroy McDonald.
She was owner/operator of the Windewald Motel for 48 years. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
