Marion Estelle  Cook (Jordan)
Marion Cook, 98, went home to be with the Lord August 18, 2016 at Care Haven Center.

Born July 26, 1918 in Marlowe, WV she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Julia Bloom Jordan.

She had previously worked at Holland Label, Federal Silk Mill, and Avalon Manor.

She was a member of Marlowe Assembly of God and attended Little Falls Presbyterian Church. She loved the Lord and was a woman of strong faith.

Marion was an avid reader, excellent seamstress, and cook. She loved to laugh and was quite the prankster.

She is survived by a sister, Iona Butts; grandchildren, Cindy DeHaven, Tim Cook, Donna Fitch, Phyllis Stump, Larry Cook, Roy Adams, Carlton DeHaven; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey "Bud" Cook; daughter, Rebecca Adams; son-in-law, Philip Adams; son, Tom Cook; and siblings, Alan Jordan, Frances Turner, Robert Jordan, and Earl Jordan.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
