Obituary for Dorothy Mae Stanley (Butts)

Dorothy Mae (Butts) Stanley, 91, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Clary-Grove.

Born December 16, 1924 in Cherry Run-Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis William Butts and Nettie Marie (Harvey) Butts.

She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God.

Mrs. Stanley attended the Valley Forge Bible College and Eastern Bible Institute.

She was a retired LPN for the VA Medical Center.

She is survived by her sister, Bernadean Jackson of Shepherdstown; brother-in-law, Ralph Brummit; sister-in-law, Delores Butts; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on April 15, 2016 by her husband, Rev. Paul Clifford Stanley; four brothers, Floyd, Marlin, Calvin and Howard Butts; and sister, Evelyn Brummitt.

A Graveside service will be will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 in Pleasant View Memory Gardens with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission, 620 W. King St., Martinsburg WV 25401, or charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
