Obituary for Gladys Emily McClure (Auchinleck)

Gladys Emily McClure (Auchinleck), 88, of Lakeland FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, Florida.
Born January 28, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Millard Auchinleck and Emily Gladys Auchinleck (Stone).
She was a member of the St Lukes United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 35 years and she attended Havendale Christian Church in Auburndale, Florida. She was retired from Berkeley County Schools as a Teacher’s Aid.
She is survived by her son, William G. McClure and his wife, Lori, of Williamsburg, Virginia; daughters; Gladys E. Alexander and her husband, James of Martinsburg; Sue Ann Jamison and her husband, Rodney of Lakeland, Florida; three grandchildren, Rhonda Jamison, Bill Jamison and Kieran McClure; two great grandchildren, Eden and Trey Canby; and a sister, Lillie Kressler of New Jersey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William John McClure; and a grandchild, Larry Canby.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John Yost officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church Audio-Visual Fund, 700 New York Ave., Martinsburg, WV 25401.
