Wanda Jean Grove, 87, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, formerly of Martinsburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Quincy Village, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania

Born May 26, 1929 in Berkeley County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank Dewey Runkles and Rose Adeline Sensel Runkles.

She was a lifetime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church where she was a former President and Treasurer of the Caring/Sharing Class. She was a member of the City Hospital Auxiliary and a PASS volunteer at Burke Street Elementary School.

In recent years she worshipped at the Chambersburg First Church of God.

Wanda was a friend to all who met her and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games, reading, and watching her grandchildren play sports, traveling and shopping.

She is survived by her son, Ronald F. Grove of Martinsburg; two daughters, Mary J. Helmick and her husband, Michael of Inwood and Deena M. Kirkwood and her husband, Todd of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Eddie Grove, Ronald Grove, Jr., Byron Helmick and Matthew Helmick; and ten great-grandchildren, Kareena Grove, Anna Grove, Madison Kirkwood, Nathan Kirkwood, Zachary Grove, Lillian Helmick, Landyn Helmick, Layla Helmick, Peyton Helmick and James Helmick; and three sisters, Mae Riser of Hedgesville, and Nancy Poulson of Martinsburg, and Dorothy Grubb of Bunker Hill; and daughter-in-law, Constance Grove of Arkansas; and a special nephew, Charlie Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Grove, Sr.; a son, Donald H. Grove, Jr.; a grandson, Cody L. Grove; a brother, David Runkles; and a sister, Margaret Luttrell.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St Luke's United Methodist Church with Rev. John Yost and Pastor Lawrence Metzler officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
