Leland R. Williams, 77, of Martinsburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the VA Medical Center.

Born April 13, 1939 in Albany, IN, he was the son of the late Ed and Kathleen Moss Williams.

After 20 years of service, he retired from the United States Navy; and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a life member of the VFW #896.

He is survived by his adopted daughter, Annette Cooper and husband, Marshall; and her siblings, Elizabeth and Randy Barnhart, Jack Horner, and Will Horner; three grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Rowland, and Justin Williams; two great-grandchildren, Aliyah Simpson and Rylee Rowland; niece and nephew, Ronald and Tracy Hesley; and three special friends, Dora Hackett, Stephanie Hoch, and Liz Cullin.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Chaplain Thomas Behling officiating.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to service at the funeral home.

Military graveside service will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
