Evaun Heck Herndon passed from this life June 24, 2016. She was born December 23, 1933 to the late James Henry Heck and Vallie Mae Hite.

She grew up in Millville and graduated from Harper's Ferry High. She worked as a secretary for Peoples Supply and later Shenandoah Downs. She was owner-operator of Country Roads Restaurant in Hedgesville for nearly 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Herndon; step-mother, Lillian Heck; brother, James Heck, Jr; and son-in-law, Oscar Wilt, Jr.

She is survived by daughters, Cheryl Wilt, Linda Cain and husband, Donald, Kimberly Palmer and husband, Earl, Roxanne Cotton and husband, David; grandchildren, Jessie Cain, Adrienne, and Alex Moretz, Whitney Wilt and Camilla Cotton; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Cain and Clay Moretz.

A memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
