Warren Weslely  White Sr.
Warren Wesley White, Sr. of Martinsburg WV entered Eternal Life on June 12, 2016 after a short illness.

He was born July 25, 1923 in Topeka, KS to Wesley and Elsie White and was raised in Barstow, CA.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Solomons (CVE 67) as Electrician's Mate First Class. He married, the love of his life, Louise Cookus in 1946 in Shepherdstown, WV and embarked on a career as a Lineman with Potomac Edison in Hagerstown, MD. He retired from Potomac Edison as the Martinsburg District Line Superintendent after more than 41 years of service. He loved his God, his country and his family.

Warren’s wife, Louise Cookus White, his son Warren W. White, Jr., and his second wife Dee White preceded him in death. He is survived by daughters Connie White (Bob Carneal) of Ladysmith, VA and Laura White of Martinsburg, WV and son Bill White (Leslie) of Tacoma, WA. He has seven grandchildren (Katie and RW Carneal, Sarah White and Justin, Brian, Brandon White, and Jackie Zieg) and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother David White (Julia) of Moraga, CA. He was a member of the V.F.W, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Last Man Standing Club, Kiwanis, Elks, Masonic Lodge #140 (Past Master), Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star, Charter member of the National WWII Museum, and former Fire Commissioner for Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, June 26 at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Martinsburg on Monday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m.

A Graveside service with Mililtary Honors will be held in Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission, Inc. (P.O. Box 843, Martinsburg, WV 25402) or C-Cap Loaves & Fishes (336 S. Queen St., Martinsburg, WV 25401), or St. Luke's UMC (700 New York Ave., Martinsburg, WV 25401).
