Obituary for Benjamin Franklin Bennett

Benjamin Franklin Bennett, 84, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born May 27, 1932 in Garner, NC he was the son of the late Leander and Laura Bennett Robinson.

He was a member of Destiny Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lucia O'Berry Bennett; one son, Anthony Bennett of Raleigh, NC; two step-sons, William C. Finch and Sidney D. Finch both of Martinsburg; two daughters, Angela Toledo of Brookeville, MD, Annette Stewart of Silver Spring, MD; one step-daughter, Donna L. Armstrong of Woodstock, VA; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Bennett and a grandson, Blair Miller.

Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Destiny Baptist Church with Rev. Delbert Pope officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
