Obituary for Edsel Coolidge Kelley Jr.

Edsel Coolidge Kelley Jr.
Edsel Coolidge Kelley, Jr., 47, of Martinsburg passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1968 in Manassas, Virginia he was the son of Betty Louise Richardson Kelley of Martinsburg and the late Edsel Coolidge Kelley, Sr. of Dunmore, WV.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Joseph Kelley; and a sister, Katie Campbell; and her husband, Shaun and their 16 month old son, his nephew, Preston.
Edsel grew up and spent his childhood in Vienna, VA. In the 1970's and 80's he played little league and Babe Ruth baseball. He was a 1986 graduate of James Madison High School in Vienna. Edsel was a member and regularly attended church at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna, VA which he loved. Growing up he was a regular acolyte for the church services at Wesley. After high school Edsel started his career as an auto mechanic at Vienna Mobil. He was very well loved by customers and thoroughly enjoyed and loved what he did. Later on in his life he moved to Martinsburg, WV to be with this mother/best friend, Betty. He loved caring for his mother and did an excellent job doing it. Earlier this year he got his wish to become a Corvette owner and he thoroughly enjoyed racing around town. Edsel and his mom, Betty were also the proud owners and caretakers for 8 Chihuahuas and two Cockatoos that will miss him dearly.
Edsel was a very nice, kind and sweet man, loved by all, everywhere he went. He would do anything for anyone, from changing someone's tire on the roadside to buying dinner for anyone that appeared to need it. He was the greatest man in the world according to his mother and entire family. Truly example of what love is.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 3:00PM at Otterbein United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Mooney officiating. Interment will be private.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.
