Gary Wayne Vitanza, 62, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 happily at his residence with his family by his side.
Born March 21, 1953 in Martinsburg, WV he is the son of Sebastian John Vitanza and the late Evelyn Lewis Vitanza.
He was retired from General Motors.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Joy Lynn Bowers Vitanza; a daughter, Evelyn Vitanza and husband, Tim; three step-daughters, Jenny McCauley and husband, Pete, Michelle Pass and husband, Michael, and Lauren Yurish and Tim; one step-son, David McCauley and wife, Cathi; step-mother, Janie Vitanza; four grandchildren, Pierce, Parker, Payton, and Dylan; two sisters, Karla DeMarco and husband, Bill; and Janice Perry; and two nephews, Casey and wife, Emily, and Alex.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lon Perry.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Comfort Inn, Edwin Miller Blvd.
