Obituary for Edwin Holmes Custer Sr.

Edwin Holmes Custer, Sr., 86, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at his home under the care of Hospice.
Born April 3, 1929 in Berkeley County he was the son of the late Garland Holmes Custer and Tassie Fern Miller Custer.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Mr. Custer was a truck driver his entire life. He had previously worked for Consumers Fuel and Shenandoah Oil Company. He retired from Quarles Petroleum in Winchester, VA in 1997.
He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alecia Pitzer Custer; two sons, Edwin Custer, Jr. and wife, Judy of Martinsburg, and Danny Custer and wife, Patty of Hedgesville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Richard Custer, Sr. and wife, Esther of Inwood.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 2:00PM at Pleasant View Memory Gardens with Pastor Larry Westcott officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
