Obituary for Eleanor Miller Hess
Eleanor Miller Hess died peacefully at her son’s home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born September 30, 1920 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late
Russell Albert Miller and May (Griffith) Miller.
Mrs. Hess was a 1938 graduate of Martinsburg High School and a 1941 graduate of King’s Daughters School of Nursing and retired from Heartland of Martinsburg.
She is survived by her son, Craig S. Hess; two grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Hess and Jordan Craig Hess; one great-granddaughter, Maddie Eden Hess and one sister, Eileen D. Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Hess, Jr.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 9, 2015, at Christ Reformed Church with the Rev. Thomas Hartshorn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle,
330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV, 25430 or Christ Reformed Church, 117 East Burke Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401
