Obituary for Carl Earl Young

Carl Earl Young, 75, of Gerrardstown went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born August 29, 1940 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Earl Arthur Young and Charlotte May Shoener Young.

He was employed by the Government of Washington, D. C. as highway inspector and was a member of the Charles Town Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his children Earl Christopher Young, Eric George Young, Douglas Gerard Young and Daniel Edward King; eleven grandchildren; and sister, Betty Merry; and the mothers of his children, Lisa Lynn Young and Maureen Young.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Denice Merry.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home with Father Brian Shoda officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.
