Obituary for Earl Ray Hairston Jr.

Earl Ray Hairston, Jr., 84, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the VA Medical Center.

Born August 31, 1931 in Raleigh County, WV he was the son of the late Earl Ray Hairston and Evelyn Gray Hairston.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army.

He is survived by six sons, Earl R. Hairston, III, Arthur, Keith, Kirk, Kevin, and Michael all of Martinsburg; one daughter, Karen Hairston of Pensacola, FL; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Hairston and James Hairston both of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Deloris Morris of Cleveland, OH.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Giles Hairston; one daughter Mona E. Linton Hairston; and a brother, J.C. Hairston.

Military funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 3:30PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Elder John Price officiating.

Family will receive friends from 2:30PM to 3:30PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
