Obituary for Frances Delano Gum (Shiley)
Frances Delano Gum, 82, of Pikeside, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Born September 6, 1933 in Ridgeway, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Marvin Shiley and Goldie Virginia (Tharp) Shiley.
She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Gregory Lawrence Gum and wife Diane; three grandchildren, Erin, Lisa, and David Gum; and two sisters, Georgianna Wilson and Mattilee Cordelia Akers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Phillip Gum and her brother Marvin Kenneth Shiley.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Maplewood Baptist Church with Pastor Carroll Williams officiating. Internment will be in Arden United Methodist Church Cemetery.
