Obituary for Frank Charles "Yank" Hayes Sr.

Frank Charles "Yank" Hayes, Sr., 67, of Inwood, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born December 19, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Frank Kevin and Myrtle Elizabeth Ramsburg Hayes.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and family man.

He is survived by a son, Frank C. Hayes, Jr. (Susan); three daughters, Lisa Jenkins (Terry), Kathy Springer (Bruce), Patty Hayes; one step-son, Jason Springer; two step-daughters, Ruby Gainey and Mary Crews; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nellie Linde, Anna Stanley, Diana Harris, Georgette Linde, and Rosemary Dupree; and companion, Rose Cole.

He was preceded in death by a step-son, Jay Crews, Jr.; one brother, Maynard Phillip Hayes; one sister, Betty Collins; and companion of 22 years, Kristie Springer.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 10:00AM with Pastor Doug Pixler officiating at the South Berkeley Chapel.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
