Obituary for Mabel Virginia Sherman (DeHaven)

Mabel Virginia DeHaven Sherman, 85, of Inwood, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Somerford Place in Hagerstown, MD.
Born July 1, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Hollis William and Rose Clark DeHaven.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Christian Church and also Tomahawk Christian Church.
She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a member of the Retired School Employee Organization. She was a former resident of Countryside Assisted Living.
She is survived by a son, Roger Sherman and wife, Charlotte; one daughter, Debbie Burkholder and husband, Ricky; four grandchildren, Jonathan Sherman and wife, Tracy Smith, Andrea Sherman Napoli and husband, Paul, Bradley Bly and wife, Sandy; and Sara Beth Lambert; four great-grandchildren, Cory and Timothy Lambert, Jacob and JP Napoli; one brother, Paul William DeHaven and Lillian; two sisters, Ruby Jean Markley and Rosalie May Kesecker; and Taylor Gillenwater who was like a dear granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by three sisters-in-law, Mona Jean DeHaven, Ginny Sherman, and Vivian Sherman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Racie Clifford "Tip" Sherman; three brothers, Elwood Nelson DeHaven in infancy, Calvin Lee DeHaven, and Allen Joseph DeHaven; and one sister, Carla Faye "Bobbie" Lewis.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and Monday, July 27, 2015 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00PM at South Berkeley Chapel. Interment will be in Tomahawk Christian Church Cemetery.
