Obituary for Violet M. Knight (Shifflett)
Violet M. Knight, 74, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born August 31, 1940, in Stanardsville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Martin Shifflett and Elsie Geer Shifflett .
She is survived by her son, Larry T. Knight and wife, Brenda, of Gordonsville, Virginia; three daughters, Doris Perez and husband, Candelario, Joyce Dusing and Allen Dusing, and Janice Knight and Jose Arrearan, all of Martinsburg; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two brothers, John and Lee Shifflett, both of Martinsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred T. Knight on October 31, 2014; and two brothers, Lonnie and Marion Shifflett.
Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eddie Edmonds officiating.
Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
