Condolence: How do I describe my momma? She was a stubborn woman with notable German characteristics and a heart bigger than any I've ever met. She never met a stranger and we opened our home to many in my childhood. No one ever went hungry when she was around. She listened to our gripes but didn't hesitate to let us know when we were wrong. She tried to be a peacekeeper when she could and in our family, that was a full time job. She had many jobs but the one I remember most was her time at Heartland. She'd take me in for meetings and I'd interact with the residents. She seemed proud, happy when she'd come home saying they had mentioned me while she was taking care of them. Her ability to accept us all, even with our many faults, is what has constantly amazed me. She helped keep this family together, even with all the cards stacked against her. As much as I miss her, I'm glad she's no longer in pain and know she's up there with MANY loved ones keeping watching on us all. I love you Momma, forever!!!
