Obituary for Yvonne Rebecca Yates (Jones)
Yvonne Rebecca Yates, 85, of Charles Town, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Winchester Medical Center. Born May 31, 1930, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Jones and Rebecca Marie Davis Jones.
Yvonne was a member of the Wainwright Baptist Church and was a graduate of Paige-Jackson High School. She loved baking and cooking for her family, sewing and gardening. She was a laborer for Double Day.
She is survived by one son, David Yates, and wife Angela, of Charles Town; three daughters: Brenda Foulks, of Kearneysville, Debra Robinson, of Martinsburg, and Joyce Puller, of Ranson; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Emanuel Yates, and two brothers, James Jones and Leslie Jones.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Wainwright Baptist Church, with the Rev. Walter Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
