Obituary for Janet Blair Jernell (Stutzman)

Janet Blair “Stutzman” Jernell, 66, of Hedgesville, WV passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born November 14, 1948 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Arthur Blair Stutzman, Sr. and Kathleen Marie Ramey Stutzman.

She retired as a secretary with Shenandoah Medical Center.

Janet loved to needlework and crafting, she enjoyed Facebook, her laptop, and headset. She loved the beach, crabbing, and boating.

She loved life and her family and was the best loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Leigh Jernell and Dana's boyfriend, Kevin Hutton; two grandchildren, Cassidy Marie Jernell and Rain Amelia Coontz all of Hedgesville; one brother, Arthur Blair Stutzman, Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD; two sisters, Sue Stutzman Barrick of Martinsburg, Sharon Stutzman Guerra of Annapolis, MD; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her soul mate, Wayne Legg; niece, Amber Dawn Hockenberry, and brother-in-law, Sonny Barrick.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Brown Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of America, or a charity of one’s choice.
