Condolence From: Lori Sage
Condolence: I am so sad to know of the passing of beautiful Miss Daisy. She was my neighbor for 20 years, and I always told her she was my idol.
Having just been diagnosed with strep throat and given antibiotics yesterday, it pains me deeply to miss the services today and tomorrow to show respect and give my condolences to the family of a woman I admired and loved dearly.
Miss Daisy was strong, committed, and determined. She lived her long life just the way she wanted. I would visit her as often as I could, and she always treated me like family.
She was sure proud of her grandson, Michael, and had great respect for her daughter, Peggy. She'd always keep me up on how they were doing. Michael and Peggy were good to her, always including her in their crazy boating adventures, helping her to keep up with the house and yard, and always making her feel loved and needed as she aged. She looked forward to visiting with her younger sister every Sunday, and she loved taking care of her grand doggies on weekdays. That sure kept her going.
I'm so happy to have seen Miss Daisy this last month as she was visiting with her sister. It was too cold and icy for them to go out to get their usual Dairy Queen burgers, so my friend and I were able to quickly pick it up and bring it to them along with ice cream sundaes.
Though I know she lived a good, long life, it is still hard to say goodbye. I will miss her sense of humor and the pull from her strong hands. I will miss seeing her sitting in her favorite chair by the window reading the paper and waving to her as she walked across to get the mail. She was simply a wonderful woman, and I will never forget the many wonderful memories I have of her. I will miss her so much, and I'm heartbroken I'm too sick to be there~~she was such an inspiration to me.
Hugs and prayers go out to the family of the beautiful Miss Daisy, my idol.
