Obituary for Florida Iola Fritz (Fritz)

Florida Iola Fritz, 93, of Inwood, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at her home.
Born December 18, 1921, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Fritz and Mamie Heck Fritz.
She attended the Charles Town Baptist Church.
She retired from Westinghouse.
Florida was a volunteer with Loaves and Fishes, She was a member of the Girl Scouts of America for over 80 years, where she was a former leader and Archives researcher, she was a member of Berkeley County Historical Society where she tracked obits of World War II Veterans, Docent for Belle Boyd House, was an enthusiastic Baltimore Orioles fan. She loved traveling, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by seven cousins, Mildred Sanda, Diane Cosgrove, Beverly Kanter, Karen Foster, Barbara Rookstool, Jeanne Jones, and Debra Minkos.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Brown Funeral Homes’ South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 19, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bel Air, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Girl Scouts of America Local Chapters or to the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission, P O Box 843, Martinsburg, West Virginia 25402
