Condolence From: Diane Finley
Condolence: Dave was my favorite cousin. I was lucky to share a lot of time with him when we were teenagers, then again years later when we lived in Seattle, during his time in the Coast Guard. His children were his life. He was a kind, generous man, with a sly wit. The world will be a sadder place without him in it.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Partin family upon Dave's death.
I knew Dave as a fellow Rotarian. He was a very kind, easygoing, friendly guy who always had a cheerful greeting whenever I saw him at our weekly meetings. We often sat together for our meal.
Dave lived a rich life, gave back much to our community, and will be missed by a lot of people.

Condolence From: Bob Snipes
Condolence: Sincerest condolences to Dave's family on behalf of members of the Christian Science Society in Shepherdstown. Dave was beloved member of our little church which he joined in 2007. He was our treasurer and helped with setup for our services. I had the pleasure of being a greeter with Dave. During that time, we swapped stories, which included his adventures in the Coast Guard as well as riding a streetcar to attend church and Sunday school with his mother as a boy in Kansas City. Dave was warm-hearted had a soft spot for children and animals. He was so proud of his family; we were privileged to meet and spend time with several of his children. Dave was the quintessential "gentle giant" and we will always carry fond memories of him.
