Obituary for David Hager

David Hager, 61, of Gerrardstown, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at his residence.

Born January 30, 1953 in Lexington, KY he was the son of the late Oscar L. Hager and Emilia Dorothy Flowers Hager.

He was employed by the Berkeley County School as a custodian at Mountain Ridge Intermediate School.

He loved hunting, fishing, butchering, and was an all around outdoorsman. He loved his family and was a wonderful father and grandfather with many, many friends. He lived for playing the guitar and poker with his friends on Friday nights. He had battled cancer for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wilkinson Hager; one son, David Hager, Jr. and wife, Jennifer; one daughter, Stephanie Hager Kief and husband, Joshua; four grandchildren, Heaven and Joshua Kief, Austin and Caedmon Hager; one sister, Elaine Creek and husband, Donald; and four nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Interment will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive from 12:00 Noon to 2:00PM prior to the service on Friday.
