Russell Woodrow "Dump" Barrett, Sr., 75, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the UVA Transitional Unit in Charlottesville, VA.
Born April 9, 1939 in Berkeley County, WV he was the son of the late Woodrow and Bessie Irene Butts Barrett.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia "Susie" Furley Barrett; two sons, Russell "Rusty" and Timothy "Scotty"; five daughters, Tammy, Karen, Sharon, Tracey, and Candy; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James, Wilmer, and Ralph Barrett; and two sisters, Airetta and Betty Smith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randall "Randy" Barrett, Sr.; and a brother, Bill.
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:00PM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Michael Staubs officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Needmore
